Last night we managed to find the COOLEST pub called The Anchor...it was in the middle of an old neighborhood and full of local folks....a 45 minute walk from the center of town. A local jazz band called the Rabbit Foot Spasm Band was playing for 4th of July. We sat and talked with them for a few hours after their show. Good to finally meet some local people!

Today, myself, Helene (34 year old ex-Navy engineer studying Medieval History here), and Curtis (Oglethorpe Environmentalist) went to the top of St. Marys Cathedral for some great views of the city....

All Souls College

The Radcliffe Camera (I actually get to study in this building!?!?!!)

Main Entrance to the Bodleian Library

Curtis going into the Philo Library

Sitting by the Thames as people punt by.

The view from the back of my apartment! This is a part of the medieval jail.

Tomorrow I have to start reading and studying again...but tonight we are going to The Lamb and Flag, a realllllyyy old pub near the center.
